Conveyor belt handling and storage
(1) Conveyor belt handling
1. The outer packaging of the conveyor belt protects the conveyor belt during handling and storage, so be careful not to damage the outer packaging during loading and unloading.
2. It is best to use a crane when the conveyor belt is moving. The correct hoisting method is to use an iron rod with the required strength to pass through the mandrel of the conveyor belt, and then use a wire rope to hang on a spreader with a beam or directly hang the wire rope On the crane hook (add protective pads where the wire rope and the tape contact) steadily hoist.
3. A forklift can also be used to carry the conveyor belt, but it must be noted that the steel fork of the forklift cannot be used to adjust the position of the conveyor belt to prevent damage to the belt.
4. When unloading the conveyor belt, it should be placed on the ground without granular debris, and it is never allowed to lay the conveyor belt on the ground (the direction of the film axis is perpendicular to the ground).
5. Try not to roll the tape on the ground. If it is necessary to roll the tape, first clean up the debris on the ground of the rolling channel, and the rolling direction should be consistent with the tape rolling direction.
(2) Storage of conveyor belt
Good storage conditions can avoid damage to the conveyor belt caused by various unfavorable factors, so pay attention to it. The following are the precautions when storing the conveyor belt.
1. During the storage process of all kinds of conveyor belts, the environment should be kept clean, avoid direct sunlight or rain and snow, prohibit contact with organic solvents such as acids, alkalis, oils, and substances that affect the quality of rubber, and be away from the heat source device. Meters away.
2. The temperature in the storage should be kept between 15-40℃, and the relative humidity should be kept between 50-80%.
3. During the storage period, the conveyor belt must be placed in a roll without folding, and it must be turned regularly, not less than once every quarter.
